B Corp

HigherRing has been certified as a B Corp since August of 2018. We believe in business as a force for good and we’re proud to authenticate our impact with B Lab.

In our most recent recertification, we increased our score from 88.2 to 99.4!

1% for the Planet

HigherRing has been a member of 1% for the Planet since September 2019. Through 1% FTP we donate 1% of our total company revenue, not just profits, to approved environmental partners.

Our total lifetime donations equal $89,404.

Verified companies must demonstrate accountability, transparency, and action in areas like sustainability, fair labor practices, and community engagement.

Carbon Neutral Operations

We estimate our Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. We continuously challenge ourselves to find opportunities to reduce our emissions year over year.

Whether it is our travel costs, our home office costs, or our systems use costs, we aim to reduce emissions at the source.

We’ve offset the full scope of our estimated emissions by investing in verified climate projects, with Bonneville Environmental Foundation.

Civic Engagement

Championing Democracy

HigherRing proudly participates in civic action as a member of Civic Alliance, America Is All In, Don’t Ban Equality, and Business For Democracy.

We provided pro bono support to Business for Democracy for the 2024 election cycle.

We promote civic education internally and through our social channels, we provide paid poll working days to team members, and we support voter engagement through our partnership with Power The Polls.

Giving Back To Our Communities

Our CEO, Michelle, serves as Membership Chair for WeTheChange, dedicating nearly 200 hours in 2024 to strengthen its network of women business leaders.

HigherRing also provides paid volunteer time for employees to support their chosen 1% for the Planet partners.

In 2024 our team supported WeTheChange, People First Economy, Make Food Not Waste, Philadelphia Orchard Project, The Greening of Detroit and The Cleanup Club with our volunteer time.
