At HigherRing, we believe every dollar spent is a vote for the kind of world we want to build. Today, we're proud to share that this belief has earned us formal recognition: HigherRing is now a California Green Business at the Innovator level.
This certification, awarded through the San Francisco Green Business Program, validates what we've been building since our founding—a company where environmental responsibility isn't an afterthought, but an operational requirement.
What This Certification Represents
As a certified B Corp and California Public Benefit Corporation, we've long held ourselves accountable to people and planet alongside profit. The Green Business certification process gave us the opportunity to formalize and strengthen those commitments:
Codified Green Policies: We documented and standardized sustainability practices across our operations, creating systems that will scale as we grow.
Launched Our Remote Employee Green Resource Guide: With team members working from home offices across the U.S. and internationally, we created a comprehensive guide to help our distributed workforce maintain sustainable workspaces wherever they are. The guide covers renewable energy sourcing, zero-waste purchasing, toxics reduction, water conservation, and community impact.
Deepened Our Climate Commitments: This work builds on our existing certifications, including The Climate Label for 2025 and our membership in 1% for the Planet, through which we've contributed over $108,000 to environmental nonprofits since 2019.
